ഹൈക്കോടതി നിർദേശത്തെ തുടർന്ന് സംസ്ഥാന തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് കമ്മീഷൻ തെളിവെടുപ്പ് നടപടികൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയിരുന്നു.

വോട്ടർ പട്ടികയിൽ നിന്ന് പേര് നീക്കം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള നിർബന്ധമായ നടപടിക്രമങ്ങൾ പാലിക്കപ്പെട്ടില്ലെന്നാണ് അഡ്വ. മൃദുൽ ജോൺ മാത്യുവിന്റെ വാദം.
ഇലക്ടറൽ രജിസ്ട്രേഷൻ ഓഫീസറും ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അധികാരികളും നിയമാനുസൃത നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കാത്തതിനെ കുറിച്ചും അദ്ദേഹം കമ്മീഷന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെടുത്തി.
പരാതിക്കാരനായ ധനേഷ് കുമാറിന്റെ വീട്ടു നമ്പറിൽ 28 വോട്ടർമാർ ഉണ്ടെന്ന അഭിഭാഷകന്റെ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടൽ ഈ കേസുമായി നേരിട്ട് ബന്ധപ്പെടുന്നില്ലെന്നും അത് പരിഗണിക്കാനാവില്ലെന്നും കമ്മീഷൻ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
