കൊല്ലം: പരിശീലനത്തിനിടെ ടിയർ ഗ്യാസ് ഷെൽ പൊട്ടിത്തെറിച്ച സംഭവത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് പൊലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു.
ചവറ പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ വനിതാ സി.പി.ഒമാരായ കീർത്തന, ആര്യ, കൂടാതെ തെക്കുംഭാഗം പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ എ.എസ്.ഐ ഹരികുമാർ എന്നിവർക്കാണ് പരിക്കേറ്റത്.
ചവറ കോവിൽത്തോട്ടത്തെ ഐ.ആർ.ഇ ഗ്രൗണ്ടിൽ ഇന്നലെ രാവിലെ എട്ടുമണിയോടെയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം.
ഗണ്ണിൽ ടിയർ ഗ്യാസ് ഷെൽ നിറച്ച് പരിശീലനം നടത്തുന്നതിനിടെ ഷെൽ പെട്ടെന്ന് പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഹരികുമാറിന്റെ കൈയ്ക്കാണ് നേരിട്ട് പരിക്കേറ്റത്.
ഗണ്ണിന്റെയും ഷെല്ലിന്റെയും ഭാഗങ്ങൾ വീണ് ആര്യക്കും കീർത്തനയ്ക്കും പരിക്കേറ്റു. മൂവർക്കും കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളിയിലെ ഒരു സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സ തുടരുകയാണ്.
അപകടത്തെ തുടർന്ന് പരിശീലനം ഉടൻ നിർത്തിവച്ചു. സംഭവത്തിൽ ആഭ്യന്തര വകുപ്പ് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചതായി അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചു.

Three police personnel were injured in Kollam after a tear gas shell exploded during training at the IRE ground in Chavara. CPOs Keerthana and Arya, and ASI Harikumar suffered injuries. The shell exploded while being loaded into a gun for practice. All three officers are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karunagappally.
