മുംബൈ: മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലെ ഗഡ്ചിറോളി ജില്ലയിൽ അടിസ്ഥാന ആരോഗ്യസൗകര്യങ്ങളുടെ ഗുരുതരമായ അഭാവം മൂലം ചികിത്സ തേടിയെത്താനാകാതെ ഒരു ഗർഭിണിയും അവരുടെ നവജാത ശിശുവും മരിച്ചു.
പ്രസവസമയത്ത് കൃത്യമായ ചികിത്സ ലഭിക്കാത്തതാണ് 24 വയസ്സുകാരിയായ ആശ സന്തോഷ് കിരംഗയുടെയും കുഞ്ഞിന്റെയും ദാരുണ മരണത്തിന് കാരണമായത്.
ഗഡ്ചിറോളിയിലെ ആൽദാണ്ടി ടോള ഗ്രാമവാസിയായ ആശ ഒമ്പത് മാസം ഗർഭിണിയായിരുന്നു. പ്രധാന റോഡുമായി ബന്ധമില്ലാത്തതും ആരോഗ്യകേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലാത്തതുമായ അതീവ ദൂരപ്രദേശത്താണ് ഇവരുടെ ഗ്രാമം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.
ജനുവരി രണ്ടിന് രാവിലെ ശക്തമായ പ്രസവവേദന ആരംഭിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ആശ സഹോദരിയുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് കാടുകളിലൂടെ ഏകദേശം ആറ് കിലോമീറ്റർ കാൽനടയായി യാത്ര ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവന്നു.
തുടർന്ന് ആംബുലൻസ് എത്തിച്ച് ഹെദ്രിയിലെ കാളി അമ്മാൾ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. അവിടെ അടിയന്തരമായി സിസേറിയൻ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ നടത്തിയെങ്കിലും കുഞ്ഞ് ഇതിനോടകം മരിച്ചിരുന്നു.
ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയ്ക്ക് പിന്നാലെ ആശയുടെ രക്തസമ്മർദ്ദം അപകടകരമായി ഉയരുകയും അൽപ്പസമയത്തിനകം അവർ മരണപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ഗർഭാവസ്ഥയുടെ അവസാന ഘട്ടത്തിലിരിക്കെ ഇത്രയും ദൂരം കാൽനടയായി യാത്ര ചെയ്തത് ഗുരുതരമായ സങ്കീർണതകൾക്ക് വഴിവച്ചതായാണ് ഗഡ്ചിറോളി ജില്ലാ ആരോഗ്യ ഓഫീസർ ഡോ. പ്രതാപ് ഷിൻഡെ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയത്.
ഈ സംഭവം ദൂരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ ആരോഗ്യ സൗകര്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൗർബല്യം വീണ്ടും തുറന്നു കാണിക്കുന്നതാണെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പും ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
