കോഴിക്കോട്: റോഡിൽ കലുങ്ക് നിർമാണത്തിനായി എടുത്ത കുഴിയിൽ വീണ് വയോധികൻ മരിച്ചു. വില്യാപ്പിള്ളി സ്വദേശിയായ മൂസ (55) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. കോഴിക്കോട് വടകര വില്യാപ്പിള്ളിയിലാണ് ദാരുണമായ അപകടം ഉണ്ടായത്.
റോഡിലൂടെ നടന്ന് പോകുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് മൂസ അബദ്ധത്തിൽ നിർമാണത്തിനായി എടുത്ത കുഴിയിൽ വീണതെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി 11 മണിയോടെയാണ് കുഴിയിൽ വീണു കിടക്കുന്ന നിലയിൽ മൂസയെ നാട്ടുകാർ കണ്ടത്.
ഉടൻ തന്നെ നാട്ടുകാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല. റോഡിൽ മതിയായ സുരക്ഷാ സംവിധാനങ്ങളോ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് ബോർഡുകളോ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നതാണ് അപകടത്തിന് കാരണമായതെന്ന ആരോപണവും ഉയർന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. സംഭവത്തിൽ അധികൃതരുടെ ഭാഗത്ത് നിന്നുള്ള വീഴ്ച പരിശോധിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യവും ശക്തമാണ്.
