ഛത്തീസ്ഗഢ് ബിലാസ്പുർ ജില്ലയിലെ ലാൽഖദാൻ മേഖലയിൽ നടന്ന ട്രെയിൻ അപകടത്തിൽ 6 പേർ മരിച്ചു, നിരവധി പേർക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു. ഹാവ്രാ റൂട്ടിൽ ഓടിയ മെമു യാത്രാ ട്രെയിനും ചരക്ക് ട്രെയിനും തമ്മിലാണ് കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ചത്.

മുന്നിൽ പോയ ഗുഡ്സ് ട്രെയിനിലേക്ക് മെമു ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അപകടത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ബിലാസ്പുർ-കാട്നി റൂട്ടിലെ ട്രെയിൻ സർവീസുകൾ നിർത്തിവച്ചു. നിരവധി ട്രെയിനുകൾ റദ്ദാക്കുകയും വഴിതിരിച്ചു വിടുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനത്തിന് റെയിൽവേയും പ്രാദേശിക സംഘങ്ങളും രംഗത്തെത്തി. നിരവധി യാത്രക്കാരെ ബോഗികളിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്തെടുത്തു ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. ട്രെയിൻ ഗതാഗതം താൽക്കാലികമായി നിർത്തി, ചില സർവീസുകൾ വഴിതിരിച്ചു വിടുകയോ റദ്ദാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തു.
