വാഹനാപകടം: മലയാളി സൈനികന് വീരമൃത്യു
മലപ്പുറം: ജമ്മു–കാശ്മീരിലെ രജോരി ജില്ലയിൽ പട്രോളിംഗ് നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ സൈനിക വാഹനാപകടത്തിൽ മലയാളി സൈനികൻ വീരമൃത്യു വരിച്ചു.
മലപ്പുറം ഒതുക്കുങ്ങൽ ചെറുകുന്ന് കാട്ടുമുണ്ട സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന്റെയും ലക്ഷ്മിയുടെയും മകൻ സജീഷ് (48) ആണ് ജീവൻ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടത്.
സജീഷിന്റെ ശവദേഹം ഇന്നലെ രാത്രിയിൽ സൈനികവിമാനത്തിൽ കരിപ്പൂരിലെത്തിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് കോട്ടക്കലിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രി മോർച്ചറിയിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു.
ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ വീട്ടിലെത്തിച്ച ശേഷം ബാലപ്രബോധിനി എൽ.പി സ്കൂളിൽ പൊതുദർശനത്തിന് വയ്ക്കും. ഔദ്യോഗിക ബഹുമതികളോടെ പിന്നീട് സംസ്കാരകർമ്മം നടത്തും.

A Malayali soldier, Sajeesh (48) from Othukkungal, Malappuram, was killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district after an Army patrolling vehicle fell into a gorge. His body was flown to Karipur last night and taken to a private hospital mortuary in Kottakkal. The body will be brought home this morning and placed for public homage at Bala Prabodhini LP School, followed by a funeral with full military honors. Sajeesh had served in the Army for 27 years and had visited home just a month ago. He is survived by his wife Roshni and two children, Siddharth and Aryan.
