തൃശൂർ: തൃശൂർ മൃഗശാലയിലെ കടുവ ഋഷിരാജ് മരിച്ചു. വയനാട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് 2015-ൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ഈ കടുവ പ്രായാധിക്യത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ആരോഗ്യപ്രശ്നങ്ങളിലായിരുന്നു.
25 വയസ്സുള്ള ഋഷിരാജ് ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെയാണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഇതോടെ തൃശൂർ മൃഗശാലയിൽ ഇനി ഒരു കടുവ മാത്രമാണ് അവശേഷിക്കുന്നത്.
വെറ്ററിനറി സർജൻമാരായ ഡോ. ശ്യാം വേണുഗോപാൽ, ഡോ. ധന്യ എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പോസ്റ്റ്മോർട്ടം നടത്തും.
പുത്തൂരിലെ സുവോളജിക്കൽ പാർക്ക് ഉദ്ഘാടനം പൂർത്തിയായിട്ടും തൃശൂരിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളെ പൂർണ്ണമായും അവിടേക്ക് മാറ്റിയിട്ടില്ല.
കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച സുവോളജിക്കൽ പാർക്കിൽ തെരുവുനായയുടെ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ പത്ത് പുള്ളിമാൻ മരിച്ചതും വിവാദമായിരുന്നു.

A tiger named Rishiraj at Thrissur Zoo has died. Brought from Wayanad in 2015, the 25-year-old tiger had been under treatment due to age-related ailments.
