ചെന്നൈ: കരൂർ ദുരന്തവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട കേസിൽ നടനും ടിവികെ അധ്യക്ഷനുമായ വിജയ്ക്ക് സിബിഐ സമൻസ് അയച്ചു. ഈ മാസം 12ന് ഡൽഹിയിലെ സിബിഐ ആസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഹാജരായി ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് സമൻസിൽ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
കരൂർ ദുരന്തവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട മുൻ അന്വേഷണങ്ങളുടെ തുടർച്ചയായാണ് ഈ നടപടി. സമൻസ് തമിഴ്നാട് രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിൽ വലിയ ചർച്ചകൾക്ക് വഴിതുറക്കുമെന്നാണ് വിലയിരുത്തൽ.
കരൂർ ദുരന്തവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് നേരത്തെ തമിഴ്നാട് പൊലീസ് നടത്തിയ അന്വേഷണത്തോട് വിജയ് സഹകരിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.
സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരിന്റെ അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ വിശ്വാസമില്ലെന്ന നിലപാടിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. വിജയ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് പിന്നീട് കേസിൽ സിബിഐ അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചത്.
വിജയ് സ്ഥാപിച്ച ടിവികെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടിയുടെ പ്രചാരണ റാലിക്കിടെയാണ് കരൂരിൽ വൻ ദുരന്തം ഉണ്ടായത്. 2025 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 27ന് നടന്ന റാലിക്കിടെ ഉണ്ടായ തിക്കിലും തിരക്കിലും കുട്ടികളടക്കം 41 പേർ മരിച്ചിരുന്നു.
വിജയ് എത്താൻ വൈകിയതും പൊലീസ് അനുവദിച്ചതിലേറെ പേർ റാലിയിൽ എത്തിയതുമാണ് ദുരന്തത്തിലേക്ക് നയിച്ചതെന്ന ആരോപണങ്ങളുണ്ട്.
മദ്രാസ് ഹൈക്കോടതി നിർദേശപ്രകാരം ആദ്യം തമിഴ്നാട് പൊലീസ് അന്വേഷണം നടത്തിയ കേസാണ് പിന്നീട് പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘത്തിന് കൈമാറിയത്. ഇതിന് ശേഷമാണ് ടിവികെ സുപ്രീം കോടതിയെ സമീപിച്ച് സിബിഐ അന്വേഷണം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്.
