കുവൈത്ത് സിറ്റി: ബാഡ്മിന്റൻ കളിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ കുഴഞ്ഞുവീണ് തിരുവല്ല സ്വദേശിയായ യുവാവ് കുവൈത്തിൽ അന്തരിച്ചു. ബിബിൻ വി. മത്തായി (44) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. പെരുന്നാൾ അവധിക്കായി നാട്ടിലേക്ക് പോകാനിരിക്കെയാണ് അപ്രതീക്ഷിത വിയോഗം സംഭവിച്ചത്.
കളിക്കിടെ ശാരീരിക അസ്വസ്ഥത അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട ബിബിനെ ഉടൻ ഫർവാനിയ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല. കുവൈത്തിലെ അൽ മുല്ല ബെഹ്ബഹാനി മോട്ടോർ കമ്പനിയിലെ ജീവനക്കാരനായിരുന്നു.
കുവൈത്ത് സെന്റ് ഗ്രിഗോറിയോസ് ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് മഹാ ഇടവകാംഗമായിരുന്നു. മൃതദേഹം നാട്ടിലെത്തിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള നടപടികൾ പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്. സംസ്കാരം പിന്നീട് വളഞ്ഞവട്ടം സെന്റ് മേരീസ് ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് ദേവാലയത്തിൽ നടക്കുമെന്ന് ബന്ധുക്കൾ അറിയിച്ചു.
