മുടി വച്ചുപിടിപ്പിക്കാൻ ദന്തഡോക്ടർമാർ വേണ്ട; ചർമ്മരോഗ വിദഗ്ദ്ധർ ഹൈക്കോടതിയിൽ; വിശദീകരണം തേടി കോടതി
കൊച്ചി: മുടി വച്ചുപിടിപ്പിക്കൽ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള സൗന്ദര്യവർദ്ധക ചികിത്സകൾ നടത്താൻ ദന്തഡോക്ടർമാർക്ക് അനുമതി നൽകിയതിനെതിരെ ചർമ്മരോഗ വിദഗ്ദ്ധർ ഹൈക്കോടതിയെ സമീപിച്ചു. ചർമ്മരോഗ വിദഗ്ദ്ധയായ ഡോ. റുക്സാന അടക്കമുള്ളവർ സമർപ്പിച്ച ഹർജിയിൽ ജസ്റ്റിസ് പി. എം. മനോജ് ഡെന്റൽ കൗൺസിൽ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയോട് വിശദീകരണം തേടി.
ഇതിന് പുറമെ സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരിനും നാഷണൽ മെഡിക്കൽ കമ്മീഷൻക്കും ഇന്ത്യൻ ഡെന്റൽ അസോസിയേഷൻക്കും കോടതി നോട്ടീസ് അയക്കാനും നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകി.
ഹർജിയിൽ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നതനുസരിച്ച്, എൻ.എം.സി മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ പ്രകാരം ചർമ്മത്തിൽ മുറിവുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതോ കോശങ്ങൾ നീക്കം ചെയ്യുന്നതോ പോലുള്ള ശസ്ത്രക്രിയകൾ പരിശീലനം നേടിയ വിദഗ്ദ്ധർ മാത്രമേ നിർവഹിക്കാവൂ. എന്നാൽ, ഓറൽ ആൻഡ് മാക്സിലോഫേഷ്യൽ സർജന്മാർക്കും ഇത്തരം ചികിത്സകൾ ചെയ്യാമെന്ന ഡി.സി.ഐയുടെ ഉത്തരവ് നിയമവിരുദ്ധമാണെന്നാണ് ഹർജിക്കാരുടെ വാദം.
