കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ ചെറുപുഴയിൽ കർഷകൻ ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തു. ഇടവരമ്പ് സ്വദേശിയായ ഏലിയാസ് അമ്പാട്ട് ആണ് മരിച്ചത്.
കീടനാശിനി കഴിച്ചാണ് ഏലിയാസ് ആത്മഹത്യയ്ക്ക് ശ്രമിച്ചത്. ഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയിൽ കണ്ണൂരിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെയാണ് മരണം സംഭവിച്ചത്.
