വിദ്യാര്ഥികള്ക്ക് നാളെ മുതല് വാക്സിനേഷന്
തിരുവനന്തപുരം: സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഗർഭാശയഗളാർബുദ പ്രതിരോധത്തിന് എച്ച്പിവി വാക്സിനേഷൻ പദ്ധതി ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു.
പ്ലസ് വൺ, പ്ലസ്ടു വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനികളെയാണ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി വാക്സിനേഷൻ ചെയ്യുന്നത്.
ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണാ ജോർജ് അറിയിച്ചു. പൈലറ്റ് പ്രോജക്റ്റ് ആയി കണ്ണൂരിലാണ് പദ്ധതി ആദ്യമായി നടപ്പാക്കുക.
ഉദ്ഘാടനം തിങ്കളാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 10 മണിക്ക് കൂത്തുപറമ്പ് താലൂക്ക് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയൻ നിർവഹിക്കും.
രാജ്യത്ത് സ്ത്രീകളിൽ കണ്ടുവരുന്ന രണ്ടാമത്തെ പ്രധാന അർബുദമാണ് ഗർഭാശയഗളാർബുദം.
ഈ രോഗം മൂലമുള്ള മരണനിരക്ക് ഇപ്പോഴും കൂടുതലാണ്. വരുംതലമുറയെ രോഗത്തിൽ നിന്ന് സംരക്ഷിക്കാനാണ് എച്ച്പിവി വാക്സിനേഷൻ പദ്ധതി സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്.
എല്ലാ പെൺകുട്ടികളും വാക്സിൻ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നത് അത്യന്താപേക്ഷിതമാണെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
വാക്സിനേഷൻ പദ്ധതി പൊതുജനങ്ങളുടെയും വിവിധ സന്നദ്ധ സംഘടനകളുടെയും സഹകരണത്തോടെ നടപ്പാക്കാനാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം.
ലയൺസ് ക്ലബ്, റോട്ടറി ക്ലബ് തുടങ്ങിയ സംഘടനകളും പദ്ധതിയിൽ പങ്കാളികളാകുന്നു.
